Perimeter of a Square - Maths

Image
Perimeter of a Square is equal to four times of its side. Perimeter of Square = 4 x Length of each side Question: Find the perimeter of a square, each of whose side is 14 cm ? Explanation: Square is a four sided polygon having all four sides equal in length. Given: Side = 14 cm Perimeter of square = ( 4 x Length of each side ) units Perimeter of square = ( 4 x 14 ) cm Perimeter of square = 56 cm Hence, Perimeter of square is 56 cm Click Here To Practice Maths Class 1 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 2 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 3 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 4 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 5 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 6 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 7 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 8

What are Consecutive Numbers - Example of Consecutive numbers

What are Consecutive Numbers ? Consecutive numbers are numbers that follow each other in order from smallest to largest. In other words, we can say that consecutive number of any number is obtained by adding 1 to the that number. Question : - Write the three consecutive numbers occuring just after 157. Explanation : - The next three consecutive number of 157 can be obtained by adding 1, 2 and 3 to 157 that is, 157 + 1 = 158 157 + 2 = 159 157 + 3 = 160 Hence the three consecutive number occurring just after 157 are 158 , 159 and 160 respectively. Perimeter of Rectangle - Formula and Example - Maths

Image
Perimeter of Rectangle is equal to twice of Sum of its length and breadth. Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( Length of Rectangle + Breadth of Rectangle ) Question: Find the perimeter of a rectangle in which: length = 12 cm and  breadth = 5 cm Explanation: Given: Length = 12 cm Breadth = 5 cm Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( l + b ) units Perimeter of Rectangle = 2 ( 12 + 5 ) cm                              (Here, Length = 12 cm , Breadth = 5 cm ) Perimeter of Rectangle = ( 2 x 17 ) cm Perimeter of Rectangle = 34 cm Hence, Perimeter of Rectangle is 34 cm Click Here To Practice Maths Class 1 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 2 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 3 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 4 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 5 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 6 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 7 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 8

Successor and Predecessor of a Number - Maths

Image
Successor of a Number -  Successor  of any whole number is the number, obtained by  adding 1  to that number. Predecessor of a Number -  Predecessor  of any whole number is the number obtained by  subtracting 1  from it. Question based on Successor of a Number Question : - Find the successor of 12568? Explanation : - The "Successor" of any whole number is the number, obtained by adding 1 to that number. So, the successor of 12568 is 12568 + 1 = 12569 Question based on Predecessor of a Number Question : - Find the predecessor of 437? Explanation : - The "Predecessor" of any whole number is the number obtained by subtracting 1 from it. So, the predecessor of 437 is 437 - 1 = 436 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 1 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 2 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 3 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 4 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 5 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 6 Click Here To Practice Maths Class 7 Cl
